The Devil Calls Prada.
The LG Prada 3.0 was officially launched in a chic party at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. The smartphone is the third collaboration between the Italian fashion house and the Korean electronics giant.
The first thing you’ll notice about the phone is its sleek and polished look. With a 4.3 inch IPS LCD and dimensions of 5.02″ x 2.72″ x 0.33″, it is truly a beauty a behold with LG’s Nova Technology that gives it unparalleled brightness. There are also chrome accents that contrast wonderfully against the signature Prada Saffiano pattern on the black body of the phone. It also comes with a minimalist user interface to complete its look.
But less you think that this phone is all stylish fluff, the phone is actually powered by a 1GHz dual core processor perfectly matched by 1GB of RAM, a PowerVR SGX540 mobile GPU, and an internal memory of 8GB. For those who want the added luxury of more space, its memory is expandable up to 32GB.
Although currently running on Android Gingerbread OS 2.3, this designer smartphone will eventually be upgradeable to the Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 by the 2nd quarter of the year.
I’ve already been torn by the release of the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Samsung Galaxy Note. And now, this? The temptation is made worse by the ads featuring actor Edward Norton and model Daria Werbowy (see the behind the scenes footage below). At an estimated retail price of P29,990 – looks like I might be breaking the bank again.
