The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines will be having a special Jogakbo classes this Jan 19 and 20. There will be two sessions for each day. For the first day, it would be at 2-3pm and 6-7pm. For the second day, it would be at 10-11am and 2-3pm.
To join this, register by sending your name, age, contact no. and preferred schedule to firstname.lastname@example.org with subject title “SEOLLAL JOGAKBO”.
For those who are not aware, Jogakbo is traditional Korean patchwork. So for these classes, participants will be making a mini bokjumeoni 복주머니 or Korean lucky pouch to celebrate Seollal 설날 – the Korean New Year that falls on the first day of the lunar calendar.
If you want to find out more about Jogakbo, you can also visit the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines, there is currently a Jogakbo exhibit there until February 9 as I mentioned before HERE. I’ve seen it and all I can say is that it’s lovely. It would definitely be nice to try making one.
Thanks to the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines for the photo.
