Korean President Lee Myung-Bak will have an official state visit to the Philippines from Nov. 20 to 22. This was after receiving an invitation from Philippine President Benino Aquino.
The two presidents are expected to discuss the further enhancement of relations between the two countries. It can be recalled that Korea has been the top source of tourism for the Philippines, accounting for 740,000 tourists or 21% of all tourists in 2010 alone.
The developments in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN-ROK) will also be put on the table.
President Aquino will also be hosting a state dinner for President Lee, who is visiting at an opportune time for the celebration of 62 years of Philippine-Korean Bilateral Relations.
The Korean President will also be attending a Korea-Philippines Business Forum organized by the Philippine and Korean Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and a town hall meeting with faculty and students from Ateneo De Manila University.
I do hope he also passes by the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines so I can get the chance to see him up close~~~(I wish!!!)
