Greenlight Events & Productions, Inc. announced the sad news about the postponement of the October Pop Music Festival which would have featured no less than former SS501 member Park Jung-Min. This concert was supposed to be held at the Aliw Theater this Saturday, Oct. 29. No detailed explanation has been made regarding the reason for the postponement but the organizer has clearly stated that it isn’t because of Park Jung-Min or his management. The company’s full statement released last Oct. 22 read:

We are extremely sorry to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond our company’s control, the event “October POP Music Festival” will be canceled and Hallyu star Park Jung Min’s visit to Manila will be postponed to a later date.

To all the fans of Park Jung Min, especially those who are planning to go to Manila just to see him, we are very sorry to deliver this unfortunate news. We know that many of you have been greatly anticipating his arrival, and that many of you have been counting down to the day that you will finally get to see your KPOP idol in person. 

Park Jung Min himself has expressed great excitement to come to the Philippines. Despite his very busy schedule, he’s been diligently preparing for this concert and we feel sorry that we would have to postponed his Manila visit. We  would like to clarify that the postponement of the event is not caused by any reason on his part or his managementPlease be assured that a better and a more intimate event with Park Jung Min is being prepared, and details of which will be announced by end of November.

To all the fans of JM De Guzman and Julie Anne San Jose, we are very sorry as well that this Filipino-Korean POP event was canceled.

The organizer emphasized that an even better event featuring Park Jung-Min will be prepared for the fans – details of which will be announced by November. They also assured those who have already bought tickets to this event that full refunds will be done accordingly. For those who bought from SM Tickets, you may get your refund directly from SM Tickets anytime starting November 5. Please be reminded that you can only get your refund from the branch where you bought it from.

Please don’t forget to bring a Valid ID, your proof of payment or your ticket if you have already claimed it.

For those who can’t come, but will have someone get their refund for them, please provide an authorization letter and a photocopy of your ID.

This is definitely sad news for Triple S fans. I was also looking forward to this concert since it was supposed to be a showcase of Korean and Filipino music. So I really hope that the organizer will make good on their word.
