The Korean horror movie “Apartment” will be featured in a special film screening at the Korean Horror Night. This will be held at 6 to 8pm next Friday, Oct. 28 in the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines. With the popularity of the horror genre among Filipinos, it wasn’t surprising that the 150 slots for this event was filled up within a day.
“Apartment” begins when Se-Jin (played by Go So-Young) moves into a high-rise apartment building in a neighborhood where there are a series of unexplained deaths occuring. One night, this solitary department store employee notices that the lights in the windows of the opposite building always starts to flicker every 9:56pm. Intrigued and baffled, she starts to have a growing suspicion that the deaths and the flickering lights are connected.
Directed, produced, and written by Ahn Byeong-Ki, this movie was based on the manga by Kang Full. Kang is a popular online manga artist who has had several of his mangas turned into Korean movies.
This will surely be fun for those who like getting scared out of their wits. Plus, before the actual film showing, there will also be a horror photo booth for everyone. So see you there!
