After being postponed twice, the organizers of the RaNia Fan Meet have officially announced through their Facebook page that the event has finally been cancelled. This was after just around a third of the expected ticket sales targets were met. The organizers assured those who have already bought tickets that refunds will be done. The full statement is reposted below:
We are sorry to inform you that RaNia in Manila will be cancelled. Our deal is to have 300 people but then we only have 100+ tickets sold. DR is really concern of paying for the plane tickets, fly to Philippines and only perform for 100 people. We do not want this show to be cancelled but we couldnt do anything. We will refund you guys do not worry. Please contact Lyka (09173509303) and Samuel (09162215422). We will also contact you thru text. Thank you so much and sorry.
This is perhaps the first time for a K-Pop event to be cancelled in the country. It is quite disheartening that this has happened. Sad~~~too much bad news today. I hope fans will realize that if they don’t support the album launches, fan meets, showcases, and concerts of their idols in the Philippines – then they might never have the chance to see them here.
Thanks to Rania Live in Manila for the photo.
