A 55-year old Korean identified as Hyung Hur was gunned down in San Juan, Metro Manila. His body was found inside his black Ford Expedition with plate number HUR 33 at Ortigas Avenue corner Connecticut Street. Hyung has a mining business in the country and lives in a condominium in the Greenhills, San Juan area.
According to authorities, the victim’s vehicle was parking near a coffee shop when the two assassins riding a motorcycle shot him through the window. Hyung died from several gunshot wounds while his driver, Mark Anthony Casayuran, also sustained some minor injuries because of the flying broken glass that hit him when the victim was shot through the window.
Investigation is still ongoing as the assailants remain unidentified until now. There have been fingerprints found in the passenger window, which may hold clues to the identity of the shooters.
This is such an unfortunate incident and I have a feeling that there must be a personal motive behind this since it was a targeted attack on Hyung. Hopefully, investigation proceeds swiftly and the perpetrators are brought to justice.
