“A Korean man! He looks like Key!” Said the little girl who pointed at me during the screening of Scandal Makers yesterday at SM Mall of Asia. Her parents were telling her to behave but she kept pointing at me while saying, “He looks like Key!”
I know there’s a belief that kids don’t lie (although I did when I was a kid) but I really don’t think I look like Key at all. But in a way, I’m used to all these references to K-Pop stars since I’ve been told that I look like some of them (even if I don’t believe them).
For instance, my old stylist Tei thinks I look like Lee Min-Ho. I don’t know where he got this idea. But he always perms my hair so that I look more like Min-Ho. He would always call me Gu Joon-Pyo whenever I went to Tony & Jackey.
Of course, I never believed my stylist since I look far from Gu Joon-Pyo so I just shrug and smile at him whenever he starts to tease me about it. Before he went back to Korea for his girlfriend, his objective was to always give me a hairstyle that would make me look like Min-Ho. So my hair styles before were all Min-Ho-based.
My friends on the other hand think that I look more like Yonghwa of CN Blue. They always point that out in my photos especially when I start to make my weird forced smile.
Considering all these so-called look-alikes. I came to one conclusion: I must be one ugly guy! After all, if you mix up all these three guys together, you end up with a chaotic mash-up like this.
