The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines has officially launched its website at http://phil.korean-culture.org. The site is an impressive resource for anyone trying to learn more about Korea and its culture. The site is filled with news, information about events, and even a gallery. There is also an online library search under construction that will eventually enable users of the site to search the titles of books, references, and other media available in the center.

According to the Seong Un-Hwang, Director of the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines, this is part of the center’s efforts to further strengthen the solid bilateral ties between the two countries.

“The Philippines and Korea have long been enjoying a strong bilateral relationship. Filipinos have been very welcoming to the Korean culture, especially in the aspect of entertainment,” he pointed out.

Director Seong also expressed how the Korean Cultural Center actually promotes Korean culture beyond the usual Korean Dramas or even K-Pop that has captivated Filipinos.

“The Center will also foster more cultural exchanges between our countries. Korean Cultural Center aims to deepen the understanding and appreciation of Korean culture among our dear Filipinos by providing diverse cultural programs and events,” explained the Director.

Thanks to the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines for the image.

That would be very unlikely since the center where all the classes are held is in The Fort Global City. I suggest you just enroll in UP Los Banos because if my memory serves me right, they also offered Korean language classes before. ^^
