There will be Koreans among the 300 mountaineers who will be climbing the beautiful Sierra Madre mountain range in the Aurora province from today until May 2 as part of the campaign to promote eco-tourism and to save this wonder of nature. This event will culminate in the Mt. Falcon peak which has a height of 5,231.60 feet and is said to be the most difficult to scale in the whole range.
This trek is a call for the proper implementation of the total log ban declared by President Noynoy Aquino through Executive Order No. 23. The Noble Blue Falcons, the main proponents of this climb, have been fighting illegal logging and deforestation in the Aurora province for 15 years.
Thanks to The Noble Blue Falcons for the photo.
