I am so disappointed with Sony Music Philippines right now. 2PM has one of the strongest fan base in the country and their previous release, Don’t Stop Can’t Stop even topped local music charts (see HERE).

So imagine my shock when I discovered that their mini-album, Still 2:00 PM, was released with not even a bang or a whimper. Do note that this is a very important piece in the discography of 2PM because this album was allegedly their creative and emphatic way of saying that the group was still the same 2PM that fans loved even without Jay Park.

As most of my blog readers know, I have been quite vocal about my admiration for the “marketing model” that Universal Records has created for launching K-Pop albums in the Philippines. So I often wish that all these other K-Pop artists would be under their label instead of companies like Sony that don’t really push the K-Pop records under their wing.

The usual freebies are there as shown below – an 18″ x 24″ 2PM Poster and 6 collectible 2PM bookmarks featuring each of the members.

But where is the launch event?! The mini-album was released last week but no one in my K-Pop circle even knew about it! Of course, this can partially be credited to all the buzz about the Super Junior Super Show 3 and the 2NE1 Album Launch (both under Universal Records mind you) – but it’s mainly because Sony has not done any serious marketing moves. As Bjork would sing – “It’s Oh So Quiet!!!”

In any case, the HOTTEST can still get their copy of the album and the freebies above from the following record outlets:

Astroplus Podium
