Super Junior proves that it definitely has one of the strongest fan base in the country as “Bonamana” maintains a strong position in the upper half of the Odyssey Music & Video Stores Charts. This is the fourth week that the album has remained in the charts, which is quite impressive, considering the fast sales during its first release. Although it has dropped a notch again this week to #3, this is still a good position for the group that signifies it may last even longer on the chart.

Visibly absent though is One Way’s “Magic” debut album. I usually expect the albums of Korean artists with active promotions to figure strongly in the album sales charts. Nevertheless, this isn’t too surprising considering that One Way is still an up-and-coming group compared to Super Junior. I still give them the benefit of the doubt since the actual Mall Concerts of One Way in the country happened from July 30 to August 1. So there may still be “Magic” on the way next week.

Anyway, here is the complete chart:

I used to track the Astrovision/Astroplus Charts before but my source for the charts started becoming very irregular so I was forced to stop. I’ll try to post next week’s charts just for you. I’ll contact my source and try to request again for a regular update.

But based on what I observed in the past, the top-selling K-Pop albums of Odyssey and Astroplus are usually the same (with a few exceptions, of course). I don’t find the Music One chart very relevant and reliable. And they don’t seem to have that many branches. So I wouldn’t worry too much about that chart.

Anyway, Super Junior is doing super great in Odyssey and MYX!!! 🙂

  2. […] 6 consecutive weeks. This is 4 spots down from their #3 position in the last chart that I posted HERE for July 19 to 25 but is still quite impressive. I am still hoping that more Korean albums will be […]
