Universal Records has confirmed that Super Junior’s 4th album, Bonamana, is now a certified Gold Record in the Philippines! The Gold Record Certification is awarded by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI) to records which have sold at least 10,000 copies. This makes it the second Gold album of the K-Pop boy band in the country – the first being Sorry, Sorry.
Using the standard retail price of a Bonamana album which is P500, it can be assumed that Super Junior has sold at least P5 million worth of albums. Now, that is definitely an incredible achievement. What’s even more amazing is that it sold P1 million of this in just 4 hours during the album launch!
Congratulations to all the Super Junior fans for making this possible!
