My update of the Astrovision and Astroplus Charts was on hiatus again last week. I might reconsider my source for the charts since it’s starting to become a bit irregular. Anyway, the good news for K-Pop this week is the entry of T-ara’s Breaking Heart Album from Polyeast Records!

T-ara’s Breaking Heart debut at number 2 totally caught me unaware since Polyeast Records hasn’t done anything major in terms of local promotions recently. T-ara’s only presence so far is the airing of Bo-Peep on MYX but even that cute song hasn’t really made a mark in the MYX Music Charts. But surprisingly, Breaking Heart has even slipped passed the heavily promoted Run Devil Run Album.

Speaking of which, Run Devil Run dropped to 4th place in the International Chart and 5th place in the Over-All Chart. During the last Astrovision/Astroplus Chart that I posted HERE,  this album was one of FOUR Girls Generation compilations that actually made the rankings. This was after the extremely successful Black Soshi Day event.

Meanwhile, Super Junior is steady at 7th place in the International Chart but barely holds on at 16th place in the Overall Charts. This means that its sales has been relatively strong compared to other international albums but is lagging behind some of the local albums. But it has been on the charts since the first week of May, showing that the boy band definitely has  a strong local fan base.
