K-Pop fans who read my blog regularly for the album sales charts know that I wasn’t able to post last week’s Astrovision/Astroplus charts. Well, there are a lot of good surprises this week. K-Pop is back with a vengeance on the Astrovision and Astroplus Album Sales charts thanks to Girls Generation!

Not only did Girls Generation top the charts for May 17 to 23. The popular girl group has FOUR albums on this week’s chart. This includes the albums “Run Devil Run”, “Genie”, “Gee”, and “Oh”. The phenomenal sales of Girls Generation is because of the extremely successful Girls Generation Black Soshi Event last May 22. During the event, fans not only got to grab their copy of the new “Run Devil Run” album, they also managed to complete their collection through special bundles that included the previously released chart-toppers, “Genie”, “Gee”, and “Oh”.

Super Junior doesn’t disappoint as well with a strong sales performance, giving them the 7th spot in the Foreign Chart and 1oth in the Over-All Chart. This may seem like a huge drop from their number 1 spot which I posted HERE. But as I mentioned before, K-Pop albums are like fireworks that create a great show in an instant then just as quickly fizzle out. Considering that this is their third week on the chart, they certainly have lot to be proud of.
